Grabbing an Image from a Web page

Documents on the Web are in the public domain, so you can copy all the graphics that you want from the Web, right? Well no, not really. Just like any other written documents, Web documents may be protected by copyright, so you can retrieve them but not copy them for further distribution. Please don't go around stealing other peoples' stuff without their permission. One place to go for more information is The Copyright Website.
With this caveat in mind, here's how to grab them...

Macintosh

Windows
After deciding on an image you would like to download, place your pointer on it, as shown in the accompanying screen shots:
When your pointer is on the image, Macintosh users should push the mouse button and hold it. Windows users should click the right mouse button. A pop-up menu will appear, as shown:
Choose the Save (this) Image As... command.
Once you choose to save the image, your computer's Save As... dialogue box will pop up. That's where you tell it where to save the image on your computer's hard drive (or floppy disk).
