SSCLE is an organization of scholars interested in studying and understanding the crusade movement along with its effects on society then, and afterward.

The Society is composed of scholars from around the world who are interested in the crusades -- some 500 members from 30+ countries.

Some members are professors in various disciplines, some are students, some are people outside academe -- but all share a deep interest in the crusade movement.
