During the year the water temperature (measured 4 miles up the canyon) varies

between near freezing in the winter to 15^o C in the summer. Aquatic organisms are

very sensitive to temperature vatriation through the year and controls their seasoned

activity and reproduction behavior. Aquatic Invertebrates growth and reproduction

are affected by changing temperatures as well as the Fish which feed on them.
