Anyone can join the American Chemical Society Westminster Chapter for free, all you have to do is send an email to one of the advisors or officers of the club and then come to the activites and service projects. If you would like to become a National American Chemical Society member you can go to their website and become a student affiliate. You can become a general member for $22 or a full member and receive their magazines for $37. When you become a member don't forget to write Salt Lake Section in the box labeled Local Section/Division Commission Claim at the bottom of the application.

If you decide to become a National Member Student Affiliate our Westminster branch will give you a FREE beaker mug. You can actually use these to drink from. All you have to do is email Patricia your ACS Member ID number. If you don't want to join but still want the beaker mug the cost is $13.

The American Chemical Society is the largest professional society in the United States with more than 100,000 members. Being so large, it consists of many divisions that encompass the wide variety of professions and subjects where the understanding of chemistry is essential. The ACS chapter at Westminster gives students the opportunity to be part of this large society which can lead to grant and scholarship opportunities as well as travel to national meetings.

This student affiliate section will give science students a chance to meet, have social gatherings, as well as get involved with the community through service projects; including chemistry demonstrations and experiments with grade school students.
